- Note: Manufactured in the late post-war period, 1966-67, this Colt Detective Special has gotten through nearly 50 years with virtually no wear. There is only light blue wear on high points from some holster use. Bore is bright with strong lands and grooves. Gun locks up like a bank vault, and is fitted with Pachmayr's popular "Compaq" rubber grip. Remember that Colt departs from everyone else's 2" small frame revolvers in that it is a 6-shot revolver and was the first to be certified for +P loads. If desired, we have a set of original Detective Special walnut grips available for an additional $150.
