Description:
A fine original Savage Model 99 Takedown Rifle chambered in 30-30 Winchester that left the factory in 1927. This rifle has the 22 inch round barrel with excellent bright rifling. The original high polish blue receiver retains 90%+ of its original finish. The barrel retains about 90%+ of its original blue also. Front and rear original sights remain in excellent condition. The stocks retain most of their original varnish and do not have any cracks, repairs or alterations of any kind. The original steel Savage logo serrated butt plate remains in good condition. Traces of case colors inside and out on the lever and great bright blue around the trigger guard. All matching numbers throughout. The takedown catch on the barrel, underneath the forearm was silver soldered in place probably to keep it from moving but does not really detract from the rifle. Early sling swivel studs are present. A fine and solid Model 99 TD rifle in the desirable 30-30 Win. chambering for the Savage collector. Shipped from FFL to FFL or C&R....USPS priority mail shipping is 45.00
