Description:
Winchester Model 21 12 Gauge Side-by-Side
PACHMAYR CUSTOM UPGRADE, 9 GOLD INLAYS

General Specs: Winchester, Year 1933, 12 Gauge, 7lbs 9oz, SxS
Serial Number: 4919

We have acquired several highly customized guns built and upgraded by the Pachmayr Custom Gun Works out of Los Angeles California.  This fine Winchester Model 21, sn4919 originally built in the 1930's, was donated by Frank and Nan Pachmayr to the Ducks Unlimited group as a fundraising tool.  Frank Pachmayr was a world famous gunsmith accredited with building fine rifles, shotguns, and pistols for the Hollywood elite, business moguls, and even President Ronald Regan.  The workmanship was always ornate and very well done, and this Model 21 is no exception.  With 9 large gold animal inlays and extensive gold wire inlays, nicely executed bank note style scroll, ornate barrel wedges at the breech and muzzle, gorgeous wood with flor-de-lis fancy checkering, the gun is a work of art in the gunmaker's world.  Pachmayr stock makers were extraordinary, and the 28 LPI checkering on this gun is exemplary.  Scenes of Labrador Retriever chasing ducks, pointer after pheasant, mallards flushing from a marsh, and a Brittany on the trigger guard bow are highly detailed and engraved by master engraver Gino Cargnel of Browning Superposed fame.  The gun has not been carried afield from the looks of her, as there are only a few light handling marks in the wood and no wear on the metal.  The 28" F/F barrels are perfect inside and out, the mechanics are crisp and function as you would expect for such a fine shotgun and a famous gunsmith shop.  Cased in a leather case, it is a gun that is begging to be shot and shown around to your shooting friends.  Pachmayr is a recognized name and this is a fine, investment grade shotgun that will increase in value as you enjoy its use.  We can alter chokes at our shop if you wish to have a more open right barrel, or both barrels.  Thanks for looking!
