Description:
This is a center fire breech loader with a thumb activated swinging breech plug. A very simple but effective means of loading. Cal marked on bbl is "40 Cal 50 GR". A center fire cartridge. Not certain which cal cartridge this would be. VG bore with strong rifling all the way to the chamber area. Scattered light pitting and a little roughness mostly towards the chamber. The bbl is an aged blue with a lot of finish remaining. It does have the orig ladder style rear sight with adjustable peep aperture. Receiver also has an aged antique blue/brown finish. Action, hammer and trigger all work well. Wood is also VG. A good quality firearm that you seldom see.
