CONFEDERATE ERA T. W. TIGNOR, RICHMOND, VIRGINIA PERCUSSION DOUBLE SHOTGUN CA. 1850’S-60’S. .12 gauge percussion hammer gun with 30” barrels engraved on rib “T.W. TIGNOR, RICHMOND, VA.”. Silver lined vents. Engraved locks and mounts. Deluxe walnut stock with checkered straight grip and gutta percha dog’s head butt plate. Extra nice condition with crisp original blue on barrels. Locks and mounts a dark patina with some original finish mixed. Stock with the original finish. Good bore that will clean even better. Locks in working order. Scarce Confederacy era and later maker and importer. Many carried by Confederate Cavalry-particularly Confederate Partisan Rangers during the Civil War.
