German Kar 98 short carbine from World War I, Erfurt manufactured with receiver dated 1915. Rifle is a bolt mismatch but does have the correct imperial proofed turned down bolt for the rifle. Rifle has a pleasing overall patina with strong imperial proofs. Interesting carving in the stock for the Argonne Forest and dates of the battle, looks period done and has the individuals initials carved as well. I purchased the rifle from the family and have the last name and where he was from for possible research. Great looking piece that has that used but not abused look. There is a neat duffel cut behind the rear band that has not been repaired, it is not visibile unless you remove the band. Rifle includes an imperial marked muzzle cover that is not numbered to the gun, it came with the rifle just isn't matching.
Rifle includes normal 3 day non-firing inspection. Shipping is $45 for lower 48, Alaska/Hawaii at cost. No international shipping on this rifle. Must ship to FFL or FFL C&R.
