Description:
All matching number gun: barrel, stock, fore end, internals, even the elevator screws. Mechanically sound inside and out, and ready to hunt! Within the last year this has been professionally cleaned, serviced, lubed. Previous owner had the fore end and stock repaired and refinished. There was a hairline crack at the head, LH side, and the dreaded fore-end crack. These were professionally acra-glassed (look it up...good stuff!) and have withstood repeated firing with no signs of letting go. Has beautiful hand-rubbed oil finish and all the checkering has been recut. There are two "check" cracks in the left of the stock, which do not affect the strength. Pull is 14-1/8" over a fresh Pachmayr Old English pad. Solid rib barrel has a pretty good bore: .728" with lots of shiny, but also many patches of shallow roughness from front to back. Has some choke, maxing at 0.025 restriction, for about the last inch of the bore. Barrel is 28", and we suspect it has been shortened from 30" at some point. Overall, a very handsome and usable shotgun. Previous owner spent a bundle getting it to this condition, and now its your turn to get it for a fraction of that. CA sales OK, C&R OK.
