Description:
Serial #458286, .32 RF, 20” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome little, pre-1905 boy's rifle that retains 95-97% of the original blue on the barrel with the only real finish loss occurring at the muzzle crown where the metal has darkened and roughened over time. The frame has retained nearly all of the original color case-hardening, and the trigger guard, hammer, and breech-block are likewise in excellent condition with only minor finish loss evident. The walnut forend anf buttstock have small handling marks and minor surface blemishes in the original finish, and the metal buttplate has faded to gray on the heel and the toe. These rifles are fairly common, but finding one with nearly all of the original finish remaining is quite difficult. This example rates excellent overall. FFL or C&R
