A true piece of firearms history. Colt 1871-72 Open Top Revolver, .44 Rimfire caliber. Cylinder engraving is 50+% visible, and the barrel/cylinder address is very good. Numbers on trigger guard, frame, backstrap, and barrel assembly are consistent. 85+% of original finish remains, and the action remains extremely tight. Gun retains beautifully patinaed, hand carved ivory grips, featuring the Mexican eagle. Barrel has not been shortened on this piece. Rifling is beautiful. Gun remains, original and authentic. Includes factory Colt letter.
