Description:
Love this gun as it,s a 16ga auto with a unusual matted rib, on top of the barrel, and made about 1930's ?. Made in Belgium, for 2 3/4" shell. Top of barrel has stamped: "BROWNING AUTOMATIC ARMS CO. OGDEN UTAH" Medal appears to be 92% blue, with most of the wear at the bottom of the frame where it has thinned from being carried.. Forend wood is very good as is the stock with the round knob pistol grip with a few dings from field use.. The bore on the 29" barrel is shiny and clean. the butt-stock has a black hard rubber recoil pad with a LOP of 14 1/8". Stock as minor handling dings. The French walnut, now darkened with age, has hand checkering. .Frame and trigger guard is chisel engraved, and the barrel states:FULL 16 SPECIAL STEEL, MADE IN BELGIUM. Most of the frame is chisel engraved, and the front mag. cap has a sling swivel while the butt-stock has the sling hole filled and ready for a new sling swivel.
