For sale is this Belgian made Francotte “The Knock About Gun” Shotgun in 20 GA (2 ¾”) Imported by Von Lengerke & Detmold New York ( VL& D or VLD or VL & D). This shotgun is in overall very good condition. This gun features a hammerless box-lock action with a top lever. The gun has double triggers. This is an extractor gun. This gun has an automatic safety. The bore is in excellent condition. There is still a significant amount of case coloring on the action. Case color is approximately 40 – 50 % remaining. Gun has Belgian Proof Marks. Walnut checkered straight stock. The butt-plate is made of black horn and marked “Browning”. There is a horn insert in the fore-end. Barrel length is 26”. LOP: 13 ¼” to Rear & 14 ¼” to Front. Overall Length: 42 ½”. The barrels have been re-blued with 98%+ finish remaining on them. The stock is in overall excellent condition with handling marks throughout. There is a repaired crack on the bottom right side of the stock and a minor chip in the butt-plate. The checkering is very good. Wood components are overall in 95%+ condition. The bore is excellent. The lockup is tight and the gun is mechanically excellent. Shipping is $50.
