SKB shotguns have been imported to the USA from Japan for over 50 years, some under the Ithaca banner. They have always been respected as precision built firearms with the best of steels and modern CNC machining. In the clay target arena, when tens of thousands of shots are fired per year, the SKB is considered the sensible man's Krieghoff, with the ability to shoot, shoot, and shoot some more without failures. These are brutish strong guns. This little grouse machine, the Model 280E, is a delightful 6lb. side by side balanced perfectly in hand and is specifically designed for upland bird hunting and skeet and sporting clays, with handy 25" barrels choked IC/M (.007/.013, very much like SK1/SK2), fast handling English style stock, very reliable single selective trigger, hand filling beavertail forend, strong, well timed ejectors, and chrome lined bores that will take anything from light woodcock loads to 3" Magnum steel shot shells for waterfowl. We sell a lot of nice sporting shotguns, and this SKB is really a great value...a dynamic, sturdy gun with really great handling characteristics and offered at a price that most shooters can afford. WAAAAAY better gun than the newer offerings from the Middle East, ie Turkey. SKB is a company that has been producing quality firearms in Japan for over 150 years, not a new start up company jamming together clunker cheapies. Thanks for looking!
