Description:
Winchester Model 1894 Long Wood Carbine with the Flat Barrel Band. Only built them for about one year or less. 32 Winchester Special Caliber, Serial #161xxx (1949 Vintage). Bought this gun many years ago for a brush gun. Shot a lot of deer with it up in NY State. Good hunter, not a great collector even though the flat barrel band variations are getting quite hard to find. Dad had a 32 Special so I, of course, wanted one also. Metal retains 90%+ Original Blue with several little " crow feet " marks and small pits that were there when I purchased it. Never liked rebluing my guns so hunted them as I got them and took good care of them thereafter. Bore is Excellent. Wood retains 95% Original Finish with a few minor handling marks, no cracks, splits or chips. Gun is very sound mechanically. Very Accurate and a Good Shooter. Make some young hunter a good starter gun. FFL or C&R Required except for Florida residents with proper ID. Thanks for Looking.
