15-42 Engraved Drilling
15-42 Engraved Drilling by Weisgerber St. Wendel 9.3 x 72 Rifle, 16 gauge shotgun. Rifle barrel is in the middle below 16 GA side by side shot gun barrels. Barrel length 27 ½”, overall length 44” markings on shotgun barrels: 29 SCH.PVA 27.9 BL.; on rifle barrel: Proof marks and 118/35; blue finish. Checkered round knob pistol grip stock. Very deep elaborate engraving on frame and back action locks, front left panel on frame has a stag and floral patterns; left lock has wolf with floral patterns; right panel of frame features a bull elk and floral patterns; the right lock has a running wild boar, tusks and all, and floral patterns; the trigger guard and forearm hardware also feature deep floral pattern engraving. The quality and depth of the engraving is hard to appreciate without seeing this beautiful gun.
Condition: Very good as refinished with 97% + of the blue finish, the stock is very good with a few dents on the right side, nice color, grain, and checkering; shotgun bores are shiny with a little corrosion, rifle bore shiny and 92% of the rifling but a little corrosion. Mechanically very good, works fine. Beautiful highest quality engraved gun. (15-42) $2,700.00
