Description:

MAJOR PRICE REDUCTION - This is a very nice old English Churchill Utility Model XXV 12 gauge that includes the old case with accessories.  The accessories include the wood cleaning rod with tips and a Churchill marked oil can.  The case is in average condition with the handle off, and the closure latches are no longer spring loaded.  This pre-WWII shotgun is a box lock with double triggers and auto ejectors. The readily available serial numbers all match.  The barrels are 25 inch in length (hence the XXV) with 2 ½ inch chambers. Chokes measure 0.010" and 0.015" restriction and the LOP to the front trigger is 15" and 14 1/4" to the back trigger.   It has full cover rose and scroll engraving with gold inlaid XXV Roman numeral for 25 inch barrel.  The blue on the barrels is in excellent condition with only a couple of use marks on the rear left side of the barrels and on the front left side, and the bores are shiny.  The case on the receiver is faded out, and the blued engraved bottom panel on the receiver and the trigger guard are about 60% blue coverage. The wood is in top condition with a handling mark on the left rear of the butt stock and very minor use showing elsewhere. It has a beautifully done butt stock addition … only the Brits can do things like this.  A truly fine English double from a top company like Churchill is getting very rare and prices on these continue to rise.  This gun must ship directly to a type 01 FFL dealer/license holder.
