Description:
Serial #423237, .30-06, 24” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1957-made rifle that has retained 95+% plus of the original blue finish with mild silvering at the muzzle and on the high edges and projections. The engine-turned bolt has some minor wear along the bearing surfaces with some fading on the handle and knob. Weaver two-piece bases are also installed on the receiver. The original walnut stock with black forend tip features fine checkering on the forend and pistol grip and Monte Carlo cheek-piece. The stock has been cot to 12 5/8" to the wood and 13 1/2 to the Red Head rubber recoil pad. This is a very nice Pre-'64 Super Grade, and rates fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
