- Note: This 1940, Pre-War manufacture, model 12 magnum, remains in great shape for its 76 years of life. The gun is fitted with an original factory solid matte rib with two beads. As is expected with a water fowl shotgun, there is a reasonable amount of blue wear and stock wear. However, there is no real damage except for some chips to the original factory finish. Interestingly for an original factory installed red rubber pad that was a feature of the model 12 magnum, this pad is still in good condition. Historically, these pads get hard or the gun is left standing on the heel of the pad so that it collapses with age. Such is not the case with this gun. The bore is bright with no dents. The receiver does show a little knicking in the original finish. A great water fowler's gun from the past, however today you would probably be relegated to the trap range as the full choke barrel would not accomodate steel shot. As a note, the buttstock has a lot of figure in it for a gun of this grade.
