- Note: This 1916 Colt New Service Target revolver is in Colt's famous 45 LC caliber. This early model displays the original high polish finish and flat latch cylinder release. As is standard for this particular model, the backstrap, front strap, and trigger face are hand checkered at the factory. The flat top strap and barrel are fitted with adjustable target sights. The gun retains arguably 90% of its original blue. Bore is bright with strong lands and grooves as are the chambers. The gun comes with a factory Colt letter. As a note, at the time the New Service Target and Shooting Master models were produced, they were completely hand fitted revolvers and only took a second place in price to the Colt Ace, but cost more than the 1911 Gold Cup National Match. This is a beautiful example of a hard to find Colt revolver.
