Description:
This is not the usual Savage pistol that you see for sale. Unlike most Savage models it is a hammerless model with a grip safety! It was only made for a few years, from 1915 thru 1917. This example of this scarce gun is all original and un-messed with. There is not a lot of the original factory bright blue finish left that is not in a protected area, and in other areas on the gun the finish has thinned or oxidized to a blue/brown. The original Savage factory blue finish was a high polish, high luster finish that was not very durable so the condition of this Savage is common. Mechanically this Savage Model 1915 is perfect. Everything works exactly like it was designed to when it left the Savage factory. This is a scarce variation that we rarely ever see and would be at home in any serious Savage collection.
