Description:
This is a side by side with a single trigger, manufactured by the Hunter Arms Co., of Fulton New York.  The SN FWE XX790 indicates a manufactured date of September 14, 1923 and shipped to the G.W. Shroyer and Company per the research center at the Cody Firearms Record Office..  There were only 6,565 "Specialty" grade guns made during this period.  This is a .16 Ga. with 28" barrels, both choked extra full.  This a very desirable collector model. The FWE indicates a "featherweight with ejectors".  The engraving is standard for this model with a quail on the left lock plate and a flying duck on the right.  It has a beavertail forearm with a few nicks forward of the checkering.  The original butt plate has been replaced with a Hawkins recoil pad which is consistent with factory additions.  The LOP is 14".  This firearm shows very little wear and handling marks.  It also has the original factory hang tag on it. This firearm has been refinished at some point, but expertly done. There is a three day non firing inspection period and the buyer is responsible for return shipping charges.
