Description:
This is a beautiful representation of the classic American side by side shotgun. The three digit serial number indicates the year of manufacture to be 1931. It has 30" barrels; the left is choked full and the right is choked modified. The LOP for the front trigger is 14 1/8" and the rear is 13 1/4". It has a beavertail forearm, a straight pistol grip stock and is equipped with the original butt plate. The wood is dark, American walnut and is superbly finished. There are very light handling marks on the steel and wood. There is a very small dent on the right side of the stock. The difference in bluing between the chamber end of the barrels and frame are consistent with the different bluing techniques used at the factory. I cannot represent that this gun has not been refinished however I did have it checked and the person who scrutinized the gun extensively concluded that if it has been refinished, it was done expertly without any of the normal "tells" associated with a less than premium job. There is a three day non firing inspection period. The buyer is responsible for any return shipping.
