Description:
S# 1002893, 32 WS, 20 inch barrel, bright excellent bore. This 1927 built carbine features a saddle ring and half magazine. Barrel retains 80% blue, receiver 50% that is flaking as these 20s Winchesters do and the lever perhaps 30%. The hammer looks to have been replaced or at the very lease re-blued. The wood is original Winchester but the forend has either been cut or is from a different gun. It shows marks from use and matches color perfectly. The New Haven address is partially covered by forend on the side of the barrel. Front sight has a marbles bead extension, rear is a correct carbine sight. A nice Carbine for the shooter/collector with lots of years left. Normally you see this period of Winchester with the receivers completely stripped to the metal and the barrels with 80% blue. We assume this is because when they started to flake people decided just to remove the blue all togeather. FFL or C&R
