Description:
Parker $200 Grade 12 Gauge SxS Shotgun – All Original in The Parker Story

30” Damascus Steel Barrels, photo of this gun in The Parker Story on page 235

General Specs: Parker, Year 1874, 12 Gauge, Side by Side Shotgun
Serial Number:  2313

This Parker $200 “Dollar Grade” was the highest grade Parker when it was made in 1874.  It is a 12 gauge side by side “Lifter Action” Parker.  This Parker has plenty of original pattern showing on its Damascus Steel barrels.  It also has a good amount of case color in the action.  This Parker has a straight grip and skeleton butt.  The hammers are original to the gun.

Parker # 2313 is shown in a photo inset on page 235 of The Parker Story.  In fact it came from the collection of one of the authors of The Parker Story.  It is in unmolested original condition!

This gun includes a research letter from the Parker Gun Collectors Association.  It states that the gun was returned to Parker to have the Patented Forend Release installed.   These guns in 1874 were originally made with a wedge that retained the forend rather than the latch which is still common today.

What else can I say?  This is an all original condition Parker made in 1874.  The condition is high but I won’t guess a percentage.  I’ll let the photos do the talking…
