Lefever C Grade 12 Gauge SxS Shotgun – Restored
30” Damascus Steel Barrels
General Specs: Lefever C Grade, Year 1891, 12 Gauge, Side by Side Shotgun
Serial Number: 13958
This Lefever C Grade was the equivalent of a B Grade Parker or D Grade AH Fox. It was and is a very nice vintage American side by side. This C Grade was re-case hardened and the barrels refinished in beautifully contrasting black and white. The Damascus pattern in stunning. The butt pad is leather covered.
The wood is exquisite with swirls one could swim in. The stock is bent with 1” Cast On for a left handed shooter. I’m a righty and have shot this gun. The butt just is an inch closer to my chest. It was okay with the 7/8 and 1 ounce loads.
The barrel wall thickness is good while the bores are a little rough. I wish they were perfect but then I couldn’t offer this C Grade Lefever at this price.
