Description:
Mauser 42 code Luger 1939 double struck chamber date. Numbers matching and original with the exception of the side cover which appears to be a remarked replacement. Front and rear straps show finish faded to gray & patina, Very strong original finish remains on the rest of the gun. Excellent bore and mechanics, grips are in very good to excellent condition. S/N is 8520/r E655 acceptance marks. Aluminum based blue body magazine with e/63 marking and non-matching serial number. Chamber date was double struck, the under stamp is 1939 but the 1 did not mark, the die was moved slightly and the full 1939 was re struck over the under incomplete stamp.
