Description:
3rd Model Winchester 1866 Rifle, Serial # 121xxx (1874 Vintage ). Correct Crescent Butt and Full Magazine. Brass is Original with nothing added except some loving care & handling. Barrel Blue is an honest 90+% with some minor nicks and little dings, nothing major. Magazine carries 80% Original Blue. (See Photos). Wood retains 80-85% Original Finish with numerous small compression dents (most on the right side of butt-stock, pictured , again, not anything major.) No chips, missing pieces, repairs and some scratches. Could be a very small hairline 3/8" crack on left side of grip next to the receiver or just a grain crack. Not sure. The only non original element of the gun is the brass rear swivel mount pictured. Proper rear Sporting Sight. Bore is Shiny and Excellent. Fire Blued Screws are perfect. Original 4 Piece Cleaning Rod still in the butt (See Photo) A Great Specimen. Antique, no papers needed to purchase except hundred dollar bills. Thanks for Looking.
