Description:
This is a very well-made knife that measures 10 1/2” overall with a 5 3/8” straight, double-edged blade with spearpoint tip. The steel has a bright gray patina with mild mottling and dark freckling within the visible machine marks along the flats of the blade, heaviest towards the ricasso. The cast aluminum hilt has a short, forward swept quillon, large D-guard with six “knuckleduster” projections, and a pyramidal “skull-crusher” pommel. The knife is housed in its original, custom leather sheath made from a 1940 Milwaukee Saddlery Co. marked holster. The sheath is stitched and riveted with snap button closure on the keeper strap, and a faint but legible cut marking on the body that reads, “Guard”. This is a fine quality knuckleduster fighting knife, and would make a great addition to any collection.
