Description:
Serial #31384, 12 ga. (2 3/4”), 28” barrel with a fine, bright bore that has a small amount of mild freckling towards the muzzle. This is a standard barrel length gun that would've been used by the U.S. Army Air Corps for aerial gunnery practice (the U.S.N. preferred semi-auto models). This example retains 97-98% of the original commercial blue finish with only some very mild silvering at the muzzle and on some of the projecting edges. The regular Stevens and the U.S. military markings are crisp and clear. The smooth walnut forend and buttstock are likewise in fine condition with only minor handling marks and blemishes scattered about the military oil finish. This is a fabulous example of an interesting U.S. marked Stevens and would make a fine addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
