ITALIAN VETTERLI TORRE ANNUNZIATA, converted to center fire, cal. 6.5MM This ITALIAN military gun has European walnut wood, complete with proofs, in which the gun was re-barreled and converted to 6.5mm Carcano caliber. These were not home guard rifles but front line weapons, and will shoot as good as a Carcano model 38 in 6.5mm. the Medal is mostly brownish, but color is fading . My guns are estate found, and often need cleaning from a long storage! Action works good, and the 33" barrel has a bore with strong rifling, clean, and in the grooves roughness from using wartime corrosive primers Rear sight is graduated to 2000M. this maker is the rarer TORRE ANNUNZIATA. No cleaning rod present. .Action is tight, and would make a good shooter. Stock not numbered to the gun. SN YU9634., and gun is dated at 1878. I shoot these all the time and at 200 yards these rifles are dead on. To buy a gun from me you must get a direct email for me, with details, and shipping cost.
