Description:
This is a very collectible special order Colt rifle, Coltsman Deluxe. in a non-cataloged 222 Remington caliber. It is made on an unusual Sako L-46 clip feed, ROUND TOP barreled action.
It is a Bofors steel barrel and made in Finland. It resembles a Sako Deluxe with skip-a-line checkering. However the stock is significantly slimmer in the forend.
The engraving is typical of a Sako Deluxe but in an unique pattern including a rampart Colt on the bottom metal and the magazine even has some engraving on it.
The stock has a rosewood forend tip and some minor handling marks on the butt stock right side. Stock would be rated at about 95%. It is my understanding from a collector this model had a recoil pad with Colt molded into the pad. This one has a pad but it reads Pachmayr.
The metal is 98% with the front sight hood but missing the rear sight.
