SALE PENDING Fabrique National, Herstal Belgium Barreled Action in 220 Swift. This remarkable custom rifle is equipped with a Mauser Long Action with a Jeweled bolt, claw extractor, and bolt release. It is stocked in Birds Eye Maple with Ebony fore-end and pistol grip caps. The stock is well carved with VERY Germanic Oak Leaves and Branches at the pistol grip and fore arm. The fit and finish on this rifle is well above average. The bore is in very good condition with lands and grooves easily seen. Without a doubt, this rifle was built in Europe by an old school crafts person, right down to the Rammstein Rod and Gun Club butt pad. Unfortunately, somewhere along the line, the butt stock acquired a 2 and 1/2" hairline crack, as seen in the pictures. I believe that the crack is "fixable" by a good gunsmith and I believe it is probably shootable as well. But, you should seek the opinion of a trusted gunsmith!!! The rifle is wearing a Leupold VX-III, 6.5X20X40MM with duplex reticle scope Mounted in Conetrol mounts and rings. If this gun did not have this crack, the price would be much higher. I rate this rifle at 90% wood and 95-96% metal. No California sales, sorry. We offer a 3 day NON-FIRING inspection period with return (at buyers expense). Shipping, Insurance and Packaging will be at actual cost. This gun, as with all used guns should be inspected by a trusted gunsmith before firing.
