#1533 Remington Model 1867 No.1 military rifled musket, 43Egyptian caliber, very fine bright bore with strong rifling (about an 8-9 on a scale of 10), VG action. Smooth grey metal, bayonet lug on the barrel for sabre style bayonet. The exterior does have considerable wear from excessive “sand polishing” and so no visible markings aside of a few often-seen cryptic breech markings, incorrect cleaning rod. The wood also is well worn with smoothed over forearm slivers, etc …..and while this all paints a pretty grim picture, this old veteran is still a very good wall hanger or will be a great start for a very inexpensive big-bore black powder shooter at a low price. $365
