Description:
MOD 1881 in 40-60 CAL 28" Oct barrel with a bright shinny bore. Metal surface is good with original blue remaining throughout. No pitting, clear crisp lettering and sharp checkering on the hammer. Forearm is original to the gun and in very good condition. The butt stock has been replaced in a highly figured walnut and fits nicely to the receiver. 1881's are rather scarce with only about 20,000 produced - a must for any Marlin Collector. This is a nice antique rifle - No FFL required.
