Originally devolped by Lt. Col. Patrick Ferguson circa 1776, the Ferguson rifle was the first mass production breech loading martial arm. Narragansett produced a limited run of 250 high quality reproduction circa 2000. Blade front and two rear sights, with "crown/PF" behind the breechblock, crossed scepters on theleft flat, and "013" on the upper tang.The lock plate bears "Tower" and crown/GR markings. Smooth straight grip stock, with a brass tipped ramrod, sling swivels, crown/GR on the buttstock and a flat brass buttplate.Included with the is a 25" socket bayonet, a certificate and a hardwood display stand. This is truly whay a commemorative should be. It is an accurate reprresentation of a weapon that is significant in history. Don't miss out on a rare chance to obtain a seldom offered piece.
