Description:
Beautiful Colt 1911a1. All correct. From Estate.Barrel has all correct markings, has Colt auto 45 on body with the P proof on the lug below and F stamped on the underside of body.Has Crossed Cannons on right rear slide,P on top of slide,G.H.D inspectors mark.Coltwood plastic grips with reinforced ribs with mold number 5 and 7. grips, crack free.Correct original WWll issue magazine. Colt contracted .Rison,Little and Scovil to make their mags. The letter C-R indicates this is the original Colt mag as issued from Rison..This is a late 1944 WWll Colt that is all original. All very tight. The bore is bright, with excellant lands and grooves. No rust,no pitts. Will not find a nicer one in this condition.Colt adopted the type5 narrow hammer in late 1944.The slide was heat treated for hardness on first one third of slide which is correct. No silvering on edges. The original parkerizing is amazing excellant factory original condition, has a dark greenish, olive dark look. No refinished parts. This is a high condition WWll Colt as it left the factory in late 1944.Iam selling separately or all 3 as a package if interested.(see last photo)..I have a mint Smith- Corona 1903a3 and a mint S&W Victory from the estate sale that are listed on this site. These guns were probably put in a lunch box from the armory at Springfield Armory in Massachuets at the end of the war and brought home as souvenirs and barely fired. They are all original. The Yank late 1944 magazine in the last photo was included when purchased.Could be a story there. You will not be disappointed with this all original, correct late 1944 Colt.Add 50.00 for shipping and insurance and Plano hard case.USPS money order or bank checks.Ships from my FFL to your FFL.You will be very pleased with this outstanding piece of History, open to reasonable offers.SemperFi,John
