Description:
  • Starr Model 1858 Double Action Percussion Revolver
  • Caliber: 44
  • Barrel: 6"
  • Note: This is a Civil War period US Inspector cartuched Starr model 1858 double action percussion revolver. The inspector's cartuche is quite faint on the left side of the grip, but nonetheless there. It appears that the cylinder may have been replaced as the serial number on the cylinder does not match the top strap. The gun functions mechanically, has some traces of original finish under the loading lever. The bottom of the walnut grip has been used as a hammer for something, leaving a series of divots. The two ratchet points on the cylinder are broken. Gun comes with an early period holster.
