Description:
1957 Colt Python 4 digit Serial Number 55XX. This one is all original. The bad first. You can see in the pictures there is a scuff on the left side of the barrel just in front of the frame and a continuation of this on the adjacent ventilated rib. You need to catch in the right light but the pictures show it very well. That is it for the bad. The good. A 4 digit 1957 third production year of a then hand made python. The Royal blue is still deep and rich, the grips are original with golt emblems and the right amount of patina and are overall 99% beautiful! There is a slight turnline indicating this one was fired very infrequently with a clean forcing cone and front of cylinder shows almost no usage. If not for the scuff on the barrel as shown in the pictures this one would be 97% easy and would be selling for closer to $6500. If you want a good honest first generation Python and do not want to mortgage the house, this one is for you. Shipping ffl to ffl is $25.
