This is a rare pair of consecutively numbered No. 2 Grullas in 12G and 20G. Mfg date 1980s. We have had the wood completely redone by a professional and the wood is very nice and 100% condition with checkered butts. The wood between the #1 and #2 gun is not a 100% perfect match but they look good together. The case coloring is superb. The barrels show some scratches from use and we have attempted to show that in the pictures. We decided not to reblue the barrels due to the very interesting engraving and lettering.
This is a Holland style hand detachable sidelock gun with cocking indicators.
There is a nice and original canvas and leather motor case for the pair with a Grulla badge on the lid.
Gun #1 is a 12 G with 26" barrels choked R: IC (.010) and L: LM (.015). The weight is 6 1/2#s. LOP is 14.5". DAC is 1 5/8" and DAH is 2 3/8".
Gun #2 is a 20 G with 26" barrels choked R: IC (.08) and L: M (.015). The weight is 6 #s.LOP is 14.5". DAC is 1 5/8" and DAH is 2 3/8".
The importer's name R. Graham & Co Savannah Ga appears on top of the ribs in gold. A bit overdone in our opinion but nonetheless tastefully done and it adds to the uniqueness of the guns.
We are a Grulla authorized dealer. Replacement cost on a comparable pair would be approximately 3 times the asking price of these guns. This cased set would be an interesting and fun pair of field guns for a husband/wife, father/son, etc. They are modern guns and how often do you have a chance to get your hands on a newer pair of guns from a world renowned maker at a price like this?
