WINCHESTER PRE-64 MODEL 70 RIFLE in .243 Win. caliber / Originally mfg'd. in 1957 as FEATHERWEIGHT. Sinced been professionally re-barreled with 25nch varmint weight barrel by E.A. SMITH. Stock is in very good overall condition with exception of being re-oiled finish / Complete with period 6X18 power REDFIELD scope / Overall mechanical and physical appears to be very well kept / This fine old rifle is in no manner to be considered as being a "COLLECTABLE MODEL 70", but as photos of spur of the moment test firing with random old factory ammo shows, NO DOUBT would be quite a shooter upon finding a load more suitable to this particular rifle.
