Colt Single Action Army 2nd Generation Colonel Samuel Colt Sesquicentennial Commemorative Revolver. Manufactured in 1964, this revolver is 1 of 5,000 produced celebrating the 150th anniversary of Colonel Samuel Colt’s birth. Chambered in .45 Colt it features a 7 ½” barrel with 6 shot unfluted cylinder, fitted with two piece rosewood grips with silver Colt medallions. The barrel, ejector rod housing & frame are all finished in high gloss blue while the ejector rod head, cylinder, triggerguard & backstrap are all sliver plated. Top of barrel is marked with Colt’s address with left side of barrel marked “1814-COL.SAML COLT SESQUICENTENNIAL MODEL-1964.” The cylinder is marked with COL SAML COLT/1814-1964 & is engraved with floral designs, the Rampant Colt, Colt factory dome & a Patterson revolver. Overall near new condition showing light handling marks with a light cylinder drag line. Comes in Walnut case with French lined velvet interior, Sesquicentennial medallion, 12 silver plated dummy cartridges, 2 keys, instruction manual & letter. The top lid has silver plaque inscribed, “ONE OF 5000/COLONEL SAML COLT/SESQUICENTENNIAL MODELS/1814-1964.”
