Description:
This is a steel frame Savage auto that utilizes the Browning A5 patents, and is chambered for the 16ga 2 3/4" shell. This vintage shotgun is in very good condition with flame grain American walnut stocks with a LOP of: 14 5/8" and has the original black hard rubber butt-plate. The stocks still have sharp hand checkering, and the wood quality is better than most.Choke is MOD. This fine gun looks it may have been made for an employee, as it came from Western Mass. where Savages are made. The plain barrel is 28" long, and has a clean , shiny bore. Exterior blue is about 90% with finish wear or loss on the barrel and high points of the frame. Nicest one I've seen in many years!
