THIS IS A WONDERFULLY MADE RECREATION OF A SMALL BORE EARLY 19TH CENTURY TENNESSEE STYLE LONG RIFLE. THE 42" SWAMPED DOUGLAS BARREL IS ONLY 13/16" ACROSS THE FLATS. THIS FINE QUALITY .40 CALIBER RIFLE WEIGHS JUST 7 1/2 POUNDS. TWO DIXIE GUN WORKS SMALL LOCK ASSEMBLIES ARE INCLUDED. ONE FOR FLINT IGNITION AND THE OTHER FOR PERCUSSION. FINE ADJUSTABLE DOUBLE SET TRIGGERS, WITH A 13" LENGTH OF PULL FROM THE FRONT SET TRIGGER TO THE CENTER OF THE CRESCENT BUTT PLATE. MIRROR LIKE BRIGHT SHINY BORE APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN LAPPED AND IS IN EXCELLENT UNFIRED LIKE CONDITION. OVERALL LIKE NEW CONDITION WITH LITTLE EVIDENCE OF USE. ACCORDING TO CONSIGNER, THIS AUTHENTIC LONG RIFLE REPRODUCTION WAS MADE IN THE 1950'S BY A WEST VIRGINIA GUNSMITH WHOSE LAST NAME WAS MCGOWAN...IN ADDITIONAL INFO REGARDING MAKER WOULD BE APPRECIATED......SOME GUIDELINES: All cartridge firing firearms must be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer in your state. Buyer to supply a signed copy of local dealer’s license before shipment will be made. A C&R License is acceptable for C&R firearms, (guns determined to be C&R’s by ATF and/or guns known to be at least 50 years old). Antique firearms and replicas require buyer to supply proof of age. Some areas require an FFL transfer for antique & black powder firearms (New Jersey, NYC, etc.) PAYMENT OPTIONS: Postal Money Orders and Cashier's Checks only are acceptable.
