The buttstock shows some possible oil or water staining on the left and right sides where the stock meets the buttplate. Endgrain was rarely sealed, allowing oil and moisture to leech in along grain lines. Other than that, the stock is in excellent condition. There is a number "95" struck just behind the trigger guard. The letter "E" is struck in the magazine cutt-off depression. The barrel is struck with the Springfield Armory's "SA" and flaming ordinance bomb as well as the date 4-17. For your reference, the serial range is 651xxx. Gun comes with original sling. A great addition to anybody's American Martial Arms collection.  SOLD Manufacturer: Springfield Model: 1903
