The internal hammer makes drawing from concealment uninpeded by a hammer spur, prominent in other DA revolvers. As you probably know, all of the 6-series revolvers from S&W are stainless steel. This gun shows light firing and handling wear and is fitted with an extended rubber grip with finger grooves to fit a larger hand. Smaller J-frame grips can be installed if desired.
