Exceptional First Empire superior officer of heavy or line cavalry saber. 100% complete and original. It is very rare to find one of these sabers that does not have the scabbard leather and wood replaced. Stitching is intact. The staple for the lower brass section on the scabbard is missing, so the fitting can slide off. There is a piece of the scabbard wood loose inside the fitting. While this can be considered a defect, it does prove categorically that the wood and leather are original. Made by S&K in Solingen.
