For Shipping Please ask Payment Types Accepted: good check, Description: .72 caliber, 29 inch barrel excellent+ bright bore, lock plate is early "pointed tail" style, lock plate and nipple bolster marked with "K", barrel has regimental markings near tang, stock is in very good condition with scattered handling marks, no crack, brass furniture has aged mellow finish, iron surfaces are mottled plum brown, original folding rear sight and blade front sight, original sling swivels-ram rod-bayonet lugs, number 454 appears on barrel, barrel tang, lock, rear sight trigger guard, butt plate and side plate. Seldom seen European military rifle. Originally produced as a flint lock (Model 1803) for the Norwegian military under Danish rule. They were converte to percussion in 1841 and 1851.Both retained tyhe original dog lock. This rifle is one of the 1851 conversion group. There are only 300 of this type known, most on the continent.
