FOR SALE: Winchester "BIG BORE" Model 94 XTR .375 lever action rifle (Mfr. Model No.: G9475) new in early 1980's, almost MINT STUNNING condition with 5 boxes of factory ammo (boxes are worn, but ammo is excellent cond.) (2) winchester boxes 200 grain power point & (3)winchester boxes250 grain power point .(Ammo alone is worth over $250!!) Only visible wear is on rifle is the rubber butt pad, the rest of the gun is PRISTINE Bore is shiny, no scratches or dings!!. Production of the BIG BORE model ceased in 1987. Specs: caliber: .375 Winchester; magazine capacity: 6; barrel length: 20" (bore is in mint condition); overall length: 37 3/4"; length of pull: 13"; drop at comb: 1 3/4"; drop at heel: 2 1/2"; weight: 6 1/8 lbs.; rate of bbl. twist: 1 R.H. turn in 12". Includes: No original factory box Surfaces of steel receiver, bolt, barrel, barrel band, magazine tube, and lever are highly-polished and deep-blued (w/ blackish hue). Serial no.: BB0164XX. Cut checkering w/ cut bordering on front/sides of the nicely-figured walnut buttstock and "wraparound" cut checkering/bordering pattern on the straight-grained walnut forestock. The buttstock has a red rubber recoil pad w/ black spacer and round-shaped "Winchester Repeating Arms" insignia molded into the pad. Smooth-faced trigger; half-cock hammer feature w/serrated hammer spur. Serrated, ramped front bead sight assembly that is grooved for sight hood removal; rear sight is elevation-adjustable and the front of the sight assembly is mounted in a sight-driftable, dovetailed slot for windage adjustments. The rear of the receiver is uniquely reinforced with wider steel (compared to standard, fully flat-sided 94 receivers) for added reinforcement/strength. Inscription on left/rear of barrel: (top line) "WINCHESTER BIG BORE MODEL 94 XTR -- 375 WIN."; (bottom line) "------ MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL ------". Has earlier-production top ejection, NOT ANGLE EJECTION (AE), as was the design change on later-production Big Bore models. Also, it does not have a rebounding hammer or the cross-bolt safety that was incorporated into later production models (which numerous Big Bore owners have not liked.
