FINAL REDUCTION An excellent rifle at an excellent price!! Serial # 9600. An extremely accurate custom 98 Mauser rifle, caliber 270 Winchester in near new condition. Kess Arms Co. was in business from the mid 1950’s to the early 1970’s in Milwalkee, Wis.. Some of their rifles are shown in the custom rifle section of the “Gun Digest” in the 60’s & 70’s. Metal work, polish and blue are of the finest quality with 23” medium weight barrel, bright minty bore, custom TOP TANG safety, custom contoured bolt shroud, ramp front sight and Lyman receiver sight and Paul Jaeger side mount with detachable scope rings. The beautifully executed wood is also in excellent condition with nice figure, perfectly executed borderless checkering, cheekpiece, sling studs and recoil pad.
