Description:
Winchester Model 70 pre-64 bolt action rifle in .264 Win Mag. made in 1961. The 26” barrel, action and trigger guard/floor plate retain more than 98% original blue and the bore is excellent. Sometime ago this gun was restocked in a handsome Curly Maple with Rosewood forearm tip and grip cap. The stock is embellished with floral carved borders on the fine checkering and a distinctive cheek piece. The wood and checkering are near perfect but the varnish is “checking” with age. The gun weighs 9 lbs. 14 oz. with the vintage Leupold VX II 3-9x40 scope, Refield one piece base/rings and sling. It has a 14” LOP over a 1” Pachmayr recoil pad. Beautiful rifle in a great caliber.
