Walnut stock that has light storage dings and small dent on right side of butt that was repaired a long time ago. SN 134468. According to US springfield Info Center Faqs, no. 3, 2nd para. "a number of arms, too many to be chance, in the 97000-145000 range, have been found frequently in fine condition, clearly this represents a sweeping out the shop". I believe this is one of them. The firing pin tip was broken and I replaced it with and aluminum bronze pin. I still have the original and the firing pin spring, but have left the pin "free floating" as was normal. Bore is bright and this should be an excellent shooter if desired.
